The Society for Technical Communication - tekom Deutschland e.V. has been committed since 1978 to raising the status of technical communication within companies and to the further development of the job description of the technical writer.

As a corporate member of tekom Europe and with 8,500 members, they are the largest professional association for technical communication in Europe. For all those working in technical communication or in other areas of information development, they provide a platform for the exchange of information and experience, promote education and training and the professional future of their members.
