Secure digital infrastructures for a secure justice system

13.09.2018 - The Bremen-based software company is taking part in the German IT Court Day in Saarbrücken for the 17th time. The 27th edition of the trade fair will take place at Saarland University under the motto "Digital legal practice: overcoming problems - shaping the future". At stand 10, Governikus KG will be providing information on solutions and secure digital infrastructures in electronic legal transactions (ERV), for the implementation of the special public authority mailbox (beBPo) and multi-channel communication.

The Act on the Promotion of Electronic Legal Transactions with the Courts (eJustice Act) is increasingly taking effect. Since January 2018, there has also been an obligation to open a secure transmission channel, service against an electronic acknowledgement of receipt (eEB) and transmission of structured data. This applies to public authorities, corporations and institutions under public law as well as other persons, professional groups and organizations that can be assumed to be highly reliable. The secure transmission channel recommended by the judiciary: the special public authority mailbox (beBPo).

With the IT Planning Council applications "Governikus" and "Governikus MultiMessenger", the Bremen-based software company offers two solutions for the implementation of a beBPo that are continuously developed and maintained. Governikus can also be used to cover all technical requirements in the life cycle of electronic legal transactions - from SAFE-compliant and multi-token-capable authentication to the secure infrastructure for data transmission, from digital, eIDAS-compliant signatures to evidence-preserving storage as part of the eFile.

In addition to legal changes, it is important to respond to other challenges arising in the course of digitalization. The range of communication channels is large and constantly growing. For those affected, the multitude of channels means additional work in processing and responding to incoming messages. The Governikus MultiMessenger provides an intelligent communication platform that bundles all relevant channels and automatically checks, logs and structures incoming messages. Regardless of whether they originate from the EGVP, are sent via DE-Mail, E-POST, encrypted e-mail or via the international AS4 interface (which also plays a major role in the e-billing context). The application then forwards them to the required systems within the organization. The connection to Governikus LZA also provides a scalable and TR-ESOR-certified solution for long-term storage that preserves evidence.

Governikus KG welcomes visitors to stand 10.
