10.10.2018 - For the sixth and seventh time respectively, open user forums will be held for service providers who have integrated the online ID card function of the ID card or the electronic residence permit into their online offering or who would like to find out about the possibilities and news. Interested participants can register for the free event dates on November 7, 2018 in Neuss and January 21, 2019 in Berlin at www.ausweisapp.bund.de/fuer-diensteanbieter/anwenderforen/.

The integration of electronic identities into online applications and services is becoming increasingly important. The use of the online ID card function of the ID card or the electronic residence permit guarantees the highest possible security for both providers and users, while at the same time ensuring seamless processes. The AusweisApp2, which is provided free of charge by the federal government, is constantly being further developed, and the open user forums offer an ideal platform for learning about new developments, discussing current challenges, and benefiting from the mutual exchange of experiences.

In addition to the current and planned developments of the AusweisApp2, the two upcoming user forums will also focus on project experiences of the city of Bonn from the perspective of a municipality and the OPTIMOS project. In the OPTIMOS project, an open, practical ecosystem for the use of secure identities in mobile services is to be defined and prototypically implemented using the example of the national system for eTicketing in public transport. Another focus is on the requirements arising from the European eIDAS Regulation. According to the regulation, there has been a mutual recognition obligation for notified eID systems since the end of September 2018. The technical prerequisites required for service providers have been created, but there are still a number of things to consider here.
