Marburg is the first municipality to offer remote signature via online banking

To implement the Online Access Act (deadline: December 31, 2022), Marburg is the first municipality to offer the option of signing applications digitally via online banking while preserving the written form. The eIDAS regulation enables legally secure signatures using remote signatures from banks instead of online ID cards or signature cards and readers. The model project in Marburg is now going into practical use, so that applications can be submitted simply via individual online banking access.

In cooperation with Sparkasse Marburg-Biedenkopf, Volksbank Mittelhessen and other partners, Governikus is playing a key role in the success of the model project.

Thanks to Governikus SigningBroker, the municipality can offer its citizens a new digital service without them having to register additionally. Identification is handled by the bank. If you want to test digital signing, you can congratulate the city of Marburg on its anniversary. You can find all the info here: Welcome to the city anniversary #wirsindmarburg800 | Marburg800
