Oliver Lauer is head of digitallabor.berlin and represents the Identity and Fintech department at the German Savings Banks and Giro Association (DSGV). He has worked as a developer/manager, architect and influencer in the banking and insurance world for over 30 years. Lauer served as Chief Platform Officer, Chief Architect and Architecture Manager and was Head of Innovation and Head of Architecture at a large global insurer, specializing in the transformation and digitization of large insurance and banking companies. He also built innovation teams in large financial firms and enabled internal incubators. Lauer led the Customer Centric Innovation team at SAP and was Head of Architecture at HSBC in Germany. He was responsible for several development teams, worked as lead architect, project manager and developer for companies like AXA, Sparkasse, Zurich and several others.
Over the years, Lauer founded several successful startups and co-founded the world's largest mobile community. In addition to his work as a speaker, author and moderator, Lauer is a well-known trend scout in the fintech and insurtech scene.
