On the new website you will find all relevant information on using the online ID function, appropriate assistance and answers to your open questions:

About the AusweisApp2
The AusweisApp2 is software for using the online ID function of the ID card, the electronic residence permit and the eID card for EU citizens and nationals of the European Economic Area. Governikus has been developing the application since 2014 on behalf of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) - as one of the first agile projects implemented by the federal government.
