Clearer and easier to use: The federal government's ID card app2 has been given a new design for PCs and Macs. The mobile apps also get new functionalities.
In version 1.20.0 of the AusweisApp2, the desktop application for PCs and Macs has been given a complete overhaul. The start screen is now clearer and shows the functions most frequently used by users. Easy-to-understand icons and labels are designed to make the app easier to use. In addition, the pairing between the PC and the smartphone as a card reader has been simplified and the connection stability increased. This means that it is no longer absolutely necessary to purchase an additional reader.
