In 1986 he started his studies in physics and computer science at the CAU in Kiel, while at the same time he hired the first two employees. At the end of 1992, he completed both courses of study with a diploma and since then has devoted himself full-time to the (further) development and distribution of the PRAXIS PROGRAM. Currently he transfers 32 salaries to friends and co-workers at the end of the month. More than 60% of the team consists of university graduates who, thanks to VoIP and VPN, have been able to choose freely between office and mobile office long before Corona. He also likes to take advantage of the flexibility in location made possible by technology, so he likes to do his work in a "floating office" from a sailboat, especially in the summer. "Headwind shapes character" - that's how he would describe his socialization through the health care system, because since 1984 - starting with KV billing on DIN A5 sticker printing for the backs of paper sickness certificates, through the first lab-DFÜ connections with 2400baud, Diskette billing, EBM reforms, ICD-10, coding guidelines, Bit4Health, project manager of the gematik eGK test region Flensburg, decades of literally endless loops with KBV, gematik and in GB-A all the cruelties of the federal German health policy and bureaucracy suffered. Nevertheless, he still tries to be nice to the people in charge and, at the same time, to find a reasonably pragmatic solution that is suitable for everyday use, beyond all the specifications and certifications.
In terms of professional policy, he has been active in the ITaV working group of the bvitg for over 10 years.
