Björn Beck, born in 1981, was founder and then shareholder of a company in the field of developing web-based software-as-a-service applications from 2003 to 2011. From 2014 to 2017, he worked in the higher judicial service of the state of Baden-Württemberg as a judge and public prosecutor. In 2017, he made a move to the IT management office of the Ministry of Justice and Migration. Since then, Björn Beck has been responsible for the state government's digitalization strategy "digital@bw" and parts of the eJustice program for the introduction of the eFile in the Baden-Württemberg judiciary. Since 2018, he has been chairman of the BLK AG Zukunft topic group "Use of Cognitive Systems in the Judiciary", which deals with the technical implementation of the introduction of AI systems in the judiciary. Since 2021, Mr. Beck is chairman of the BLK AG IT-Standards, which develops and operates the products of electronic legal transactions "EGVP", "SAFE" and "XJustiz" for the federal government and the states.
